Shanggong Co., Ltd., the earliest manufacturer in its industry in China, is a large enterprise specialized in the manufacture of sewing equipment. It is as well one of the major exporting bases of sewing equipment in China. In 1994, Shanggong was restructured as a joint stock company and issued both Class A and B shares, and thus became the first listed company ?V and the only one of both A and B shares even nowadays ?V in the Chinese sewing machine industry.
